Sage and GST in Malaysia
This statement follows the announcement made by Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, during the Budget 2014 speech on 25th October 2013. GST for Malaysia has been confirmed and is to be enforced on 1st April 2015 .Sage acknowledges the announcement and would like to provide the following response to matters that relate to the impact of GST on our customers and products in Malaysia.
In compliance with the KWSP statutory requirement, the EPF contribution rate is to remain unchanged until 60 years of age. This is effective from August 2013. Please see the attached instructions on how to set-up the necessary changes.
Following our notice that was published since July 2013, we are now confirming the products that have new prices that are effective from September 1, 2013. We encourage customers both existing and new to take advantage of the time until August 31, 2013 to enjoy our products at the lower, existing prices. Thank you for your continued support to Sage.
With immediate effect, we are introducing a new support and maintenance plans by the way of Business Care plans. These plans have new rates and deliverables. You have the choice of having a contract for online software updates only and with Technical Support. There are also discounts ranging from 5% to 30% provided for those who are Certified Users from Sage or have attended a Certified Payroll Administrator course from Sage Training Centre. Our Sage Cover Consultant would be able to share more information on this and assist you to make your choice.
